Floor Coverings International of Lakeway, TX® was founded in 2020 by Kevin Temple, a longtime Austin resident, who set out to build something meaningful in the community he loves. Kevin wanted to bring a higher level of trust and professionalism to the flooring industry. A Texas native, Kevin moved to Steiner Ranch in 2001, where he has spent over two decades raising his family and building deep roots in the community.

Kevin spent 20 years building relationships as an executive leader in the technology industry before making the decision to step away from corporate America to better serve his local community. Through his own experiences, he recognized a common challenge: homeowners often struggled to trust contractors and felt uncertain throughout the process. He saw an opportunity to do things differently with a community-focused business in Austin — to create a flooring experience built on transparency, professionalism, and genuine care.
