John and Jen opened Floor Coverings International-Cleveland West in 2015, and have enjoyed helping the local community refresh their homes ever since! Stemming from a passion for helping others and solving problems, the Toths’ goal is to provide a consultative buying experience and a worry-free installation. John’s background in operations in the manufacturing sector and Jen’s experience in accounting and customer service management have provided a good base for leading the FCI-Cleveland West team. The Toths live in Avon Lake and have two sons aged 19 and 16. When taking a break from the office, John can likely be found on a golf course, out on Lake Erie fishing, or coaching youth bowling for Avon Lake schools.
Darrell has been working as a Design Associate since 2018. He is one of the guys who helps you design and choose the appropriate flooring for your space. He arrives at the home in his Mobile Showroom stocked with 3,000+ samples and helps you narrow things down so as not to overwhelm you with options and assure that you make the best possible decision for your home. His goal is to provide a consistent 5-star experience that makes the process simple and seamless. Darrell has been a minister his entire adult life. He still serves churches locally and coordinates mission experiences for adults and students all over the world. He is a graduate of Baylor University where he played baseball and met his wife, Laura, in 1990. He has 3 amazing children – two adult sons and a teenage daughter, plus a new daughter-in-law.
Mike joined the team as Installation Manager in 2022. It is his goal to make sure installation progresses smoothly on a day-to-day basis. He works closely with Cady, the Production Coordinator, as well as our Design Associates, Darrell and Brian, to ensure a successful project. Mike will often pop in during installation to make sure the crews have everything they need and address any questions or concerns the client may have Mike has been in the trades since 1994. He is well rounded in residential construction and has experience mainly as a tile setter, as well as with luxury vinyl plank. He graduated from Avon High School where he met his wife, Amy. They have 3 children and have resided in Avon Lake for the past 22 years.
Cady joined the team in 2021 and currently serves as Production Coordinator. She juggles everything behind the scenes from ordering flooring materials to managing our installation schedule to ensure that projects are completed quickly and efficiently. Cady grew up in Avon Lake, and currently resides in Lakewood. Her 9 years of experience in childcare comes in handy to keep the team in line at the office!
