Floor Coverings International of Boise, ID® is proud to partner with our local Treasure Valley Habitat for Humanity to sponsor the 2026 Women Build.
For the 2026 Women Build, we are donating new flooring materials and the labor to install those materials. Not only that, but we’re also helping to support future builds by giving back a portion of our profits to the Treasure Valley Habitat for Humanity. Nampa Flooring Donation to a Family in Need
Homes where a wheelchair is in constant use need floors that are designed to handle it, and not all materials are up to the task. Carpet obviously won’t work, but floating vinyl is also known to fail under wheelchairs as they can cause the seams to snap, pop up, and separate. Most homes aren’t built with constant wheelchair use or accessibility in mind, and if a member of your family needs to use a mobility aid, your floors will be one of the first things that need to be addressed. One such family in the Nampa, ID area encountered this exact problem. Their 6-year-old boy, Emmett, has autism and requires the use of a wheelchair. But Emmett’s family home didn’t have floors that would allow him and his family to make the most of their space and enjoy their everyday lives to the fullest.
When Emmett’s family needed to make their home more wheelchair-friendly, Floor Coverings International of Boise, ID® stepped up to the plate to help without taking a penny. With the support of Mohawk Flooring, we donated nearly $13,000 of flooring materials and installation labor to Emmett and his family, giving their home fresh floors that are designed to hold up under constant wheelchair use without failing. Now, Emmett and his family can truly feel at home in their house with floors that they never have to think about, let alone worry about. We work on behalf of our community to ensure those in need have access to the home flooring services in Boise that make their lives easier.
