Steve worked for 15 years in the recreational boating industry and then for nine years as an executive at Toyota before he and his wife, Allison, started Floor Coverings International of Sarasota.
Steve grew up in Orlando and is a graduate of the University of Florida and Kellogg School of Management at Northwestern University in Chicago. Steve has experienced the excitement and the challenges of rehabbing homes. He is very focused on providing the most talented and dedicated Design Associates and the very best customer experience to our clients.
Steve relocated with his family of five to Sarasota in 2023 to start the business. The entire family loves boating and enjoying all that Florida has to offer, and being active in their community.

Allison has an eye for design. A Health Coach by trade, she is passionate about improving people’s lives. She has redesigned the finishes in multiple homes, all while raising three children, a dog (and a husband). Allison knows the impact floors can have on a space, and how important it is to select the right products and installers, to ensure a flooring investment stands the test of time.
She shares war stories about lugging heavy samples home for weeks and trying to find people who were qualified, available, affordable and reliable to come into her home. When she heard about Floor Coverings International’s superior customer experience, she knew she wanted to be a part of it.
Today, she is helping to lead the team of professionals at FCI Sarasota to make every super-mom’s lives a little easier by providing the flooring “easy button” while ensuring everything goes smoothly, without breaking the bank.
