That community spirit came to life across the Midwest as FCI franchisees joined forces with beloved local personalities to support pet adoptions and promote pet-friendly flooring. From Wichita to Kansas City, our teams proved that when flooring meets compassion, everyone wins—especially our four-legged friends.
Behind the Scenes: A Heartfelt Collaboration
A heartwarming moment as Golden Bachelorette Winner and Wichita Native Chock Chapple joined forces with our Metro Wichita franchise owner, Amy Schertz, to make a difference for local pets.
This was on full display when Schertz teamed up with Wichita native and Golden Bachelorette winner Chock Chapple for a special adoption event with the Kansas Humane Society.

This event not only raised awareness, but Amy and her team made a real difference by covering the adoption fees for FCI customers who adopted pets in July from the Kansas Humane Society. Helping both local pets find forever homes and local families find their newest family member.
Expanding the Impact: When Passion Meets Purpose
Just a few hours northeast, another FCI team was making waves of their own. The Kansas City West, South Kansas City, Blue Springs, and Metro Southeast Kansas City co-ops teamed up with Tamara Day—host of Bargain Mansions on the Magnolia Network and a Kansas City native known for her heart as big as her home transformations—and just as devoted to pups.
Together, they partnered with KC Pet Project for a special Hearts & Homes Foster Day event. The day featured dog adoptions, local giveaways, and pet-friendly flooring inspiration—all centered around the shared goal of helping animals find their forever homes.
For every pet adoption completed, FCI made a $50 donation to KC Pet Project, reinforcing the company’s ongoing commitment to community care.
