Matt and Karina, our dedicated owners, reside in Oconomowoc. Growing up in Mukwonago, Matt’s journey is a testament to hard work and passion for home improvement. He began his career in the home improvement industry in 2001 with College Pro. In 2010, Matt and Karina brought Floor Coverings International to Wisconsin. For over two decades, Matt has relished the opportunity to transform customers’ living spaces. He understands the impact flooring has on the foundational look and feel of homes, offering warmth, practicality, and design elements. Outside of work, Matt and Karina find peace in the simplicity and beauty of life on their hobby farm with their four children. From tending to sheep and chickens, having bonfires with friends, and indulging in everything family, Matt and Karina find joy in all aspects of rural living.
Abby, a detail-oriented Production Manager from South Milwaukee, WI, brings a diverse background to her role. With a foundation in psychology and human services, Abby excels in organization, customer service, and efficiency. She joined Floor Coverings International in June 2021, where her skills in problem-solving, customer satisfaction, and spreadsheet management ensure smooth workflows. Outside of work, Abby enjoys quilting, reading, and spending time with her children. Abby's dedication to both her professional and personal life highlights her well-rounded nature and commitment to excellence in all she does.
Meet Dave Paeske, visionary Senior Design Associate, who hails from New Berlin. He enjoyed growing up in Greendale and found his academic stride at UW Whitewater, where he honed his skills in advertising and business. After a successful stint in telecom, Dave followed his passion for home improvement. Seven years ago, he took the leap into business ownership, drawn to Floor Coverings International by its stellar customer reviews and innovative Mobile Flooring Showroom® model. What Dave loves most about his role is helping customers find the perfect flooring solution to enhance their homes. His dedication to service and problem-solving shines through in every project. Outside of work, you’ll find Dave enjoying outdoor music events, touring classic car shows, or traveling with his family to cheer for the Brewers on the road. His goal is to visit all 30 stadiums and has made it to 9 so far! With a secret talent for folding things in thirds and a love for the word “paradoxically,” Dave’s diverse interests and service-minded attitude make him a true asset to our team.
Meet Sally TerHark, our vibrant Design Associate bringing a touch of South Dakota charm to Milwaukee, WI. Sally’s journey weaves through diverse locales, from the scenic landscapes of Colorado to the historic streets of Greece and Mexico. Her educational voyage led her to downtown Chicago, where she majored in Communications with a focus on Christian service. Before transitioning to home improvement, Sally honed her skills as a Manager at the prestigious Pfister Hotel’s WELL Spa & Salon. There, she mastered the art of hospitality, ensuring no detail was overlooked. Today, she channels that same dedication into refreshing living spaces, infusing them with warmth and personality. As a Design Associate, Sally thrives on storytelling through interiors, spacemaking, and hospitality. She relishes the challenge of listening intently to clients’ needs and crafting unique solutions that exceed expectations. Outside the office, Sally’s creative spirit shines through her love for music, sailing, baking, and exploring the outdoors with her son. Drawn to Floor Coverings International for its blend of design excellence and learning opportunities, Sally has been shaping inspiring spaces for our clients for the past two years. Whether she’s crafting a design plan or rolling out homemade pies, Sally’s passion for making a difference in people’s lives shines through in everything she does.
