Review Update: After posting my original review, the owner reached out to me personally. He took the time to ask what had happened, listened to my concerns, and approached the conversation with genuine understanding and empathy. It never felt defensive or dismissive. Instead, he acknowledged my frustration and disappointment and explained that they truly want every customer to have a five-star experience. I was impressed by how he handled the conversation--with professionalism, class, kindness, and a sincere desire to make things right. It's clear he cares about both his customers and the reputation of his business. Most importantly, they followed through and resolved the issue to my satisfaction. I am extremely grateful for their willingness to listen and take action. While my initial experience left me frustrated, the way the owner responded says a lot about the company. Because of that, I would recommend Floor Coverings International, and when we're ready to replace the rest of our flooring next year, I would absolutely reach out to them for a bid.

I cannot recommend Floor Coverings International based on my experience with the lack of transparency surrounding pricing and discounts. From the beginning, I specifically asked about a veteran discount. I brought it up with Brie during my initial conversation, again while the sales representative was in my home, and then a third time with Garrett when I reviewed the itemized statement and did not see the veteran discount reflected anywhere. Garrett assured me he would make sure it was applied. Despite raising this issue multiple times, no one ever informed me that I was supposedly receiving other discounts in lieu of the veteran discount. Those discounts were never identified, explained, or reflected on either of the itemized statements I received. Only after I questioned the missing veteran discount was I told by Amanda that the project had already been "heavily discounted" to beat a competitor's bid and fit my budget, and that the discount I received was larger than the veteran discount, so both could not be applied. My concern is not whether the company chose to offer a different discount. My concern is that this was never disclosed at any point during the sales process, despite my repeatedly asking about the veteran discount. Furthermore, the company has been unable to provide any documentation showing the original price, the amount discounted, or where these alleged discounts were applied. Instead, I am simply being asked to take their word for it. Transparent pricing is important, especially when customers are making significant home improvement purchases. Had someone clearly explained upfront that a different promotional discount was being applied and that it could not be combined with a veteran discount, this could have been avoided. Instead, I was repeatedly led to believe the veteran discount would be applied, only to be told after the fact that it was not. In the end the pricing didn't even come in under the competition. There was an additional purchase of sub flooring that was needed that increased the original bid, but even without that I had to reduce what I was getting with the other company (flush vents) or it would have been more. For that reason, I cannot recommend Floor Coverings International and would encourage potential customers to request written documentation of all discounts and pricing adjustments before signing a contract. I will say my floors look nice and they did a speedy job. Aside from my baseboards being a little rough and the language barrier with the contractor who did the work (which I did not know was going to be outsourced to another company) being another barrier, it was fine. But Not being able to directly communicate with the people at my house, but instead having to text someone who was offsite was challenging.

Just had Floor Coverings Int. finish 2100 sq ft of laminate flooring done to our house. Could not be happier with the end results. The whole team was a pleasure to work with from Carter who guided us in picking the right flooring to Raul the installer who did a fantastic job in just 5 days. Strongly recommend this company!

We had laminate flooring completed throughout our home. Floor Coverings International Spokane did a superb job. We met Brie at the Home and Garden Show. We then meet with Carter who went over our options and plans. From there we communicated with Garrett regarding scheduling. They were flexible with our schedule. The two gentlemen who completed the installation were very professional. They were polite, they cleaned up their areas after they completed their job and their work was excellent. We would definitely recommend them to our family and friends.

Recently I had the pleasure of a very friendly crew and attentive organization tackle a floor refinishing project for me. I have hard wood white oak floors that have been heavily oiled and then stained with a walnut colored finish. Within one day, they had the floors of the first two rooms sanded and finished in the most beautiful white oak blonde. We are restoring a 1935 craftsman farm house in stages. Floor Coverings International crew arrived several minutes early to evaluate the job and stuck to it with no dust sanding equipment. We were treated with respect and valued our needs when questioned were addressed. Phase two of our home remodeling project will, without question include Floor Coverings International. It's not an easy task to find a reliable contractor but we found a flooring specialist that delivers on their promises.

Floor Coverings International told me they had their OWN flooring installers. Only after I hired them to do my kitchen floor did I find out that they sub contracted the job out to Mayas Flooring. The communication was not good from start to finish. It was a chaotic experience to say the least.By the time the job was completed I was stressed to the max.I won't go into all the details but I cannot recommend this company. They are also very pricey.
