I reached out to Kim for a quote for my stairs and she was very responsive. She answered on the first call and came out the next day. She was very knowledgeable and helpful. I did not end up moving forward with her due to other reasons, but I will definitely use her in the future and recommend her business to others.

Floor Coverings International was lovely to work with! They came to our home and helped us decide the best option for our home. The installation went incredibly smoothly and we are very happy with the result. We put our condo on the market a few weeks after the installation and our home sold within our expected timeframe. After interviewing several flooring companies I encountered at one of the Home Shows at the Dulles Expo Center, I decided on FCI. Kimberly was very patient; explaining to me how the process works, and even helping me choose the colour that would best suit my desire to add light to my townhouse. I decided to pack up everything that would touch the floor to be replaced, rather than pay them to move it out of their way as they worked. I figured this would make their job easier, and force me to re-assess my belongings. Yes, I have too much stuff. After a couple of months I felt confident I had enough saved to do the project, and contacted Kimberly again. She was very understanding, and brought the samples back, so I could verify to myself I had chosen the right LVP floor colour. I paid a deposit so the materials could be purchased, and set an install week when they were delivered. I was told the installation would take 1 to 3 days, if I didn't need excessive floor leveler or rebuilding of the subfloor. Because of the age of my house, 53 years, there was a significant chance the joists were not up to code. A contractor was brought in to inspect the joists and subflooring; that took an extra day. The leveling was rather extensive and took two days. We have had a few earthquakes, and a fifty year plus house near water does a lot of settling. Finally the house was ready for new flooring. Once the leveling was complete, it took two days for the men to install the planks. I called Kimberly again to ask which direction the boards should run. That's when I learned Kimberly is the owner of the company. I felt special to get such personal service and proud that I, without prior knowledge, had chosen a woman owned small business to do such an important renovation on my house. The results are impressive, everyone who has seen my new floors, and had seen the old carpet, tells me how lovely it is and that I definitely made the right choices. I also love the results and would gladly work with FCI again.
