Excellent pricing and very smooth experience from the beginning. She explained what was needed and gave genuine solutions for our situation, saving us cost. We did get 3 other quotes from local flooring companies and none of them offered the cost efficient way to correct our subfloor, only them. Quick and painless experience, we could not be happier!

Floor Coverings International of Rosenberg is completely incompetent. We contracted "Ashley Massie" to demo our 2,000sq ft floor of porcelain tile and kitchen backsplash. The job started Nov. 3, 2025 and is still ongoing Jan. 11, 2026. Covering and taping off of everything wasn't done properly. During the demo they used no extractor fans or dust suppression to keep the dust manageable. It got into our uncovered furniture, closets, cabinets, food, dishes, clothes, holiday decorations, linens, drawers and in every crevice. We called Ashley everyday concerned about what we saw happening. LOLShe assured us it would be cleaned and not to worry. When the grout was delivered it was not what we had chosen. Ashley stated she had changed the order, due to non availability or our choice. This change was made without consulting us and instead of blending with the tile it was in contrast.. She ordered another color without running it by us. We ended up going to get the correct grout ourselves, over an hour each way. Instead of a 5 man crew, as we were told, only one man showed up ever. That one employee complained daily about it to us. Next, the backsplash tile wasn't what we had chosen. This was another delay and push back from Ashley. Both mistakes I had to fight with her to get corrected. When backsplash was done it wasn't trimmed around, nor was it finish behind the stove. She said they never do that and It wasn't in the contract. At this time we realized floor tile wasn't placed under the dishwasher. It took the one worker weeks to finish getting the tile down and reset toilets alone. When the grout was finished we realized there were broken off spacing clips, dirt from outside and demo grit embedded in the grout. The clips are sticking up out of the grout. Also lines with no grout and large bubble holes throughout. Worse yet, we had a heavy haze of grout residue left covering the entire surface of the tile, due to the grout not being cleaned off in time. It was not coming up by mopping. After telling us she would remedy the tile, grout and dust issues, she showed up the next night unannounced at 7in the evening, after dark, bringing her husband and employee to move the furniture back in and call it finished. We stopped her and again showed her the grout residue covering the tile. She left angry. Every day was a different story and issue with Ashley. Eventually, she had a grout company come out and he had to use chemicals and a buffing machine with brushes to get it off. This cost her money and this is when she started telling us we needed to give her the final payment. All while agreeing to fix the grout and the silica dust covering the house. During the entire job we told Ashley there was a problem with silica dust getting into our closets and cabinets. Our house is still covered in it and she won't take care of it. There are gouges on walls, lower cabinets and baseboards she won't fix. Her crew made a huge mess and damages she has walked away from and has started bullying and harassing us through texts and emails demanding money. To remedy the damages made by her company will eat up all of her profit, If not more. She said to remedy the damages was not in the contract. Neither were the damages! The damage to our home and belongings is significant. To this date, January 11, 2026, we are still not in our home. Ashley has now filed a lawsuit on us for the remaining balance and has inflated the balance by about $3500. Ashley Massie only cares about making the sale. After that, she is a different person altogether. It's going to take a lot of time and money to make right what they have done. There is more wall, baseboard and island damage not shown. The last two photos are backsplash/tile that was ordered. Last photo is what we received and she argued for two days was correct. Never, I repeat, Never was there an inspection done. Ashley simply abandoned the job and called it done. These few photos are as things stand, except for the haze on the tile. Look at the review before mine.

We called Ashley everyday concerned about what we saw happening. It was a week before she came by to look at it. She assured us it would be cleaned and not to worry. The few times Ashley acknowledged problems she assured us it would be right when they were finished. The 5 man crew ended up one man doing the entire job. Three different days there was one other man that came to help. When the grout was delivered it was not what we had chosen and signed off on. Ashley argued that it was. We were talked to as if we were complainers. We insisted Ashley come by. At seeing the color she said it was what she ordered, because what we chose wasn't available. She ordered another color without running it by us. She tried hard to get us to just go with it. She complained about changing it and the person she'd have to take off a job to make the change. We ended up going to get the correct grout ourselves, over an hour each way. Telling Ashley the crew wasn't showing up and one man was here daily to do the whole job, fell on deaf ears. That one employee complained daily about it to us. Next, the backsplash tile wasn't what we had chosen. Ashley argued for two days insisting she had ordered the correct one. She was annoyed at us for ANOTHER CHANGE ORDER. These change orders happened due to her mistakes. I knew what I had chosen. I had a photo of the tiles and grout from the day I chose them. Taking this change order personally, she made a point of telling me she wasn't a liar. Later the next day, she found the correct tile and apologized. How do you make this many big mistakes? Mistakes I had to fight with her to get corrected. She said as soon as she found the correct backsplash in the showroom, she remembered it being what we had chosen. We did appreciate her honesty finally and were patient with her through this whole process. We just wanted the job to get done. When backsplash was done it wasn't trimmed around, nor was it finish behind the stove. She said they never do that and It wasn't in the contract. My neighbor used Floor Covering International for her hardwood floors and she was happy with the results and quality of service she received. From the first day I spoke with Ashley, I felt at peace knowing I didn't have to go to several stores to see the material. Ashley brought it to my house. Ashley is always punctual and professional. She listened to me and gave me ideas for my renovation. The work was fast, and her team was also professional and punctual. I will use this company in the near future for other renovations.

Updates: Avoid them by any means. Go with other floor contractors. The communication has been very poor. I'm promised one thing by Asheley and then told another thing by her crew lead. I deem the staircase needing to be replaced and she says no disregarding anything I say. From her conversation with her crew lead that I overheard when the crew lead was on site, she said she won't replace anything and if I say anything else she will deal with me. Completely two faced. The adhesives that she said she can inject under the nose to help with the noise simply don't work. I also found out from another floor contractor that she upcharges everything a lot, especially for materials that are cheap to begin with. I recommend buying those materials yourself and just get a quote for labor. Don't bother choosing staircase nosing as they want you to either, choose solid tread and buy those yourself. With all those headaches, I'm giving them 1 star. Updates: Ashley is helpful and explained things to us genuinely. Currently in the process of getting those things fixed. Will update again once completed. Updates: the staircase keeps making cracking noise. Now there are some nosings that just constantly make the cracking noises and its because their attachment to the bottom got weakened. Combined with all the gaps and big nail holes that I tried so hard to cover and still look bad, I would reduce to a 2 star rating. Gets the job done but quality could be improved considering how much I paid, especially on the staircase where the nosing could've been placed better and nail holes could've been taken care of better.

Ashley, Tina and team were great to work with! I had purchased materials already from Lowe’s and needed someone to help install. They helped me install flooring upstairs and on my staircase -even working with me to reschedule quickly when materials were delayed delivery from Lowe’s! Highly recommend!
