As we were preparing our home to go on the market, one of the biggest issues we faced was the carpeting upstairs. After years of kids, friends, and constant foot traffic, the carpet had developed several waves and ripples that made the entire upstairs look worn and dated. We knew it needed attention before listing the house. That’s when we reached out to Floor Coverings International Plano and connected with John Conroy. John was professional, knowledgeable, and quickly recommended one of his team members to handle the repair. What impressed me most was the attention to detail. From my perspective, it looked like one large carpet stretching across multiple rooms and hallways, so I assumed this would be a difficult project. The technician spent several hours carefully re-stretching and repairing the carpet, never rushing the job and focusing on getting everything exactly right. When he finished and we finally went upstairs to see the results, we were genuinely amazed. The ripples were completely gone, the carpet looked smooth and flawless, and honestly, it looked almost like a brand-new installation. The entire upstairs immediately felt cleaner, newer, and much more appealing. The workmanship was exceptional, the pricing was very reasonable, and the overall experience exceeded our expectations. In fact, I wouldn’t be surprised if the improved appearance of the upstairs helped make our home more attractive to potential buyers. What an amazing experience with Floor Coverings International Plano and John Conroy’s team. I truly cannot recommend them enough. What impressed me the most was the speed, communication, and professionalism from the very beginning. I sent John a few videos of the issue we had upstairs, and almost immediately he responded. That alone already separated them from many other home improvement companies. Most companies either take forever to respond, are booked out for weeks, or give you a “maybe sometime next week” type of answer. But John and his team were completely different. After reviewing the videos and pictures, John quickly provided an estimate, and once we approved it, they had a technician at our house the very next day. Now let me explain the problem. Over the years, the carpet upstairs in all four rooms had become very wavy and uneven from heavy foot traffic, kids constantly running around, and even a ping-pong table upstairs. Honestly, it had started looking pretty rough and old. The technician who came out did an absolutely phenomenal job. He worked meticulously for several hours, paying attention to every detail, and by the end the carpet looked almost brand new again. The difference was unbelievable. It honestly looked like state-of-the-art work. What I appreciated most was not only the quality of the work, but also how smooth and stress-free the whole process was — fast communication, quick scheduling, fair pricing, and outstanding craftsmanship. Huge thanks again to John Conroy and the entire team at Floor Coverings International Plano. Even though we live in Flower Mound, they service many areas, and if you need any flooring work done, repairs, stretching, replacement, or upgrades, these are the people to call. Professional, responsive, honest, and highly skilled. Five stars all the way.

I entrusted my home to Ryan to install the luxury vinyl plank in my entire house while I was out of town. The outcome was over and beyond my expectation. Special thanks to John, Ryan and Leslie who were hands on, made visits to my house making sure that everything is going smoothly in a timely manner. Of course to Leslie and the crew for their fast and reliable service.

I had three bathrooms remodeled with three different companies. The first two bathrooms had multiple problems, but the last bathroom done with FCI Plano went great/smooth... done fast (ahead of schedule) and with great workmanship. I highly recommend!

John sent out one of his carpet technicians to fix a bulge in our carpet. He moved and replaced the furniture and was in and out in less than an hour. He was very professional, courteous, and respectful of our home. Thank you!

They did an excellent job resurfacing my staircase. The steps had a thick, worn layer of old polyurethane, and now they look completely refreshed and smooth. The workmanship was top-notch, with great attention to detail and a clean, professional finish. I’m very happy with the results and would definitely recommend their services.

I looked forward to writing this review after I saw my beautiful new kitchen floor. John’s crew is “the best”. Prompt, polite, hard working, just great guys. They went the extra mile by using plastic to cover all the furniture, covered and taped all the kitchen cabinets & also put “heavy paper” & plastic on lower cabinets. Thankfully made a huge difference in the amount of dust from tile & grout removal for my “open flow living/kitchen area. I highly recommend using Floor Coverings International if you’re considering replacing your existing floors. John, the owner, was so pleasant to work with & you deal directly with him. He comes to your home, not a sales rep, he’s there at the job start, he’s there when they finish. That’s a big deal when you deal directly with the owner & not middle men. Price was incredibly fair & I would definitely call them again if I need anymore flooring. They are the best!!
