"Greg, Kelly, Luiz and the team were great. We had our 23 year old red oak floors refinished. The quoting process was thorough, easy, and the price fair. The work started a few days later. The team arrived on time each day, worked happily and consistently, and created significantly less sanding mess than I expected. The fresh sanded floors looked so good I was tempted not to stain. After viewing a few options on the floor, I chose a 75/25 mix of water-based Dark Walnut and Weathered Oak to create a rich, medium dark tone with grain that really pops. The result was perfect, if not a surprise to us all. iPhone pictures don’t do it justice. The team worked well addressing a few custom requests along with a few problem areas in the original flooring. Finishing took a few days—it’s a commitment to follow the process, and eating out was the best choice. Kelly inspected the work after the project was complete and helped identify areas requiring touch ups. Luiz came a few days later and finished all of those. There were a few areas where I felt sanding marks could have been smoother but as a part-time craftsman I ‘m pretty particular. I can’t say enough about the custom, removable AC vents—completely flush with pop-out centers, stained just like the floor. Best idea ever. Since we’re renovating and the floors were step one, I’ll submit some before and after pics once we get a room or two complete.
