I met Courtney at the RI home show in April 2026. She was very pleasant and took the time to answer all my questions. Then it wasn't long after I called to make an appointment. Then her husband brought the samples at my house and explained the process from start to finish so we knew what to expect. After measuring he showed us from his laptop what the room would look like, then gave us an excellent price so we gave him a deposit that day to get the job going. It only took a couple of weeks from then for the carpet to come and not long after that it was installed. The installer they sent did an excellent job. Very, very pleased with the job. Excellent company to deal with.

We recently had most of the flooring replaced throughout our home over several months, including carpet in the bedrooms, den, and hallway, hardwood in the formal living and dining rooms, and luxury vinyl in the downstairs den. Floor Coverings International was competitively priced, highly professional, and delivered excellent results across the board. The entire process, from the first meeting through final installation, was smooth and well managed. Working with Tim was a great experience. He was knowledgeable, responsive, and made sure everything stayed on track while helping us make the right decisions for our home. We have been extremely pleased with both the service and the finished product, and would highly recommend Tim and Floor Coverings International.

I chose FCI after receiving multiple quotes. Tim was able to come down in price and work within my preferred timeframe. He also set expectations that, due to the age of the floors, they wouldn’t be perfect but would look good. Unfortunately, the execution didn’t match those expectations. After the first day of work, debris including garbage bags and ripped-up wood, was left on my front lawn and remained there for two days until I followed up multiple times. The installer also left lights on and blinds open overnight, leaving the interior of my home fully visible. More importantly, I was told transition strips would be installed in two areas, but this was never done. When I raised it, there was no clear communication. I was later told the scope of repairs changed and the strips were deemed unnecessary without consulting me beforehand. Additionally, several replacement boards stand out significantly from the rest of the floor. Had this been communicated in advance, I would have made a different decision (either choosing another company or staining the floors for a more uniform look). In one area, a board was damaged during installation and simply filled at the final walkthrough rather than properly repaired or replaced. While I understood and accepted some imperfections due to the age of the flooring, the lack of communication, incomplete work, and overall finish were disappointing. I was just told excuses and the only thing the project manager seemed to be worried about is making sure I was going to pay the remaining balance. Based on my experience, I would not recommend this company.
