I chose FCI after receiving multiple quotes. Tim was able to come down in price and work within my preferred timeframe. He also set expectations that, due to the age of the floors, they wouldn’t be perfect but would look good. Unfortunately, the execution didn’t match those expectations. After the first day of work, debris including garbage bags and ripped-up wood, was left on my front lawn and remained there for two days until I followed up multiple times. The installer also left lights on and blinds open overnight, leaving the interior of my home fully visible. More importantly, I was told transition strips would be installed in two areas, but this was never done. When I raised it, there was no clear communication. I was later told the scope of repairs changed and the strips were deemed unnecessary without consulting me beforehand. Additionally, several replacement boards stand out significantly from the rest of the floor. Had this been communicated in advance, I would have made a different decision (either choosing another company or staining the floors for a more uniform look). In one area, a board was damaged during installation and simply filled at the final walkthrough rather than properly repaired or replaced. While I understood and accepted some imperfections due to the age of the flooring, the lack of communication, incomplete work, and overall finish were disappointing. I was just told excuses and the only thing the project manager seemed to be worried about is making sure I was going to pay the remaining balance. Based on my experience, I would not recommend this company.

Tim came over and provided such great information and communicated the project to me very transparently. He provided a very reasonable quote while providing caution on what could come up. So there was no surprises. On top of that, he made it very easy to have a conversation with him which I appreciate since I’m outside my area of expertise. I highly this company, they truly provided great service for a reasonable cost and any nerves gets set to ease with them.
