I am extremely pleased that I decided to purchase my new flooring through Floor Coverings International. Although I wanted new flooring throughout my apartment, choosing what kind of floor I wanted proved to be much more of a difficult decision than i had anticipated. My apartment has an open layout starting from entryway through the kitchen, extending into living/dining area. My apartment has a very unique layout. I use the term "unique" loosely. It is a very difficult layout. There is not one straight angle or evenly squared wall. I couldn't decide whether to lay the flooring in a horizontal pattern, or vertical pattern. This is where Andrew first made me realize I chose the correct company. He shared his thoughts on why he thought laying the flooring vertically would compliment the flow of my apartment. When it came to choosing the type and color, again Andrew was right on point. I believed I wanted a darker floor than the one I eventually chose. Andrew listened to my ideas and thoughts and he returned to my place with a few different colors/samples (not so many that I would feel overwhelmed). Together we chose a beautiful, durable and, if I must say the perfect floor for my taste and decor style. How they managed to navigate all of the angles and different widths of my apartment, I will never know. I have attached photos so you can see it was not an easy install. The result is exceptional and I would highly recommend this company to anyone looking to install new floors or replace old flooring. I truly appreciate the way this team helped me achieve the look I had in my mind, but had difficulty in deciding how to achieve it. Thank you for doing such a great job! Floor Coverings International delivered in every way. From providing samples, sharing ideas, installation/clean up and returning to be sure I was a satisfied client. 👍

I recently called FCI because I was left in a mess by another floor company that did not return to finish my floor repairs. Since I was burned by the first company I was highly skeptical of asking another company to come in and fix what I was left with. I called FCI and explained my situation and I got a quick response and Chris and Andrew were at my house the next morning. They listened when I asked to be taken care of right away because my house was in a mess for over two weeks. They did the job very soon after and it was done beautifully. I wish they were my first call because it would have saved me money and stress. I am not a reviewer in general but I felt that this review may help people decide to pick them based on my experience.

I found them very sales like and very aggressive in selling and almost rude. The Dad/Son duo, The Dad was yawning and looked bored as if he could care less and also told me I am not able to make up my mind which I found very offensive. There is a lady who keeps calling and messaging and overall a very bad experience I felt. It wasn't personalized at all and very, very business like and almost rude. But when the job was done it wasn't bad at all but still a bad experience overall.

Chris, Andrew, and Steve from FCI in Island Park NY provided great advice on my floor replacement, and were also very flexible in scheduling home visits to discuss as much as needed. I eventually went with a light gray vinyl plank for combination of durability and beauty. Nicole the office manager was very helpful with the logistics. Jonathan the installer and his team were very professional and skilled. The job was completed on time and on budget with no hidden surprises and a great result. My whole house has been transformed. I highly recommend FCI for a floor project.

We reached out to Floor Coverings International for our project, and I am very happy that we chose to do so. From the start, the team was professional, responsive, and easy to work with. The team took the time to inspect the existing floors, explain the installation process, answer all of our questions, and come up with a practical solution for our home. The installation was done with great attention to detail, and the finished floors look beautiful. While there were a few challenges along the way because of the condition of the existing floor, the team managed to work through them successfully.They also left everything clean when the job was finished, which we really appreciated.
