After a leaky water heater caused water damage to about 50 square feet of my hardwood flooring, I contacted several contractors for repair estimates. Every one of them told me that because the flooring was glued to the concrete slab, I would need to replace the entire 900-square-foot floor on that level—an extremely expensive proposition. Steve was the only contractor willing to take on the challenge of replacing just the damaged section. I’m incredibly glad he did. The finished result exceeded my expectations. The floors look absolutely fantastic—so much so that you would never know there had been any damage at all. The repaired section blends seamlessly with the surrounding floor, and the entire area looks like it did before the water damage occurred. The utility room flooring was completely ruined by the leak and had to be replaced. Steve went above and beyond by carefully selecting an option that closely matched the color and appearance of my hardwood floors. The transition between the rooms looks great and gives the entire space a cohesive, finished look. Not only did Steve and his team restore my floors to their original condition, but they also saved me thousands of dollars by avoiding an unnecessary full-floor replacement. Throughout the process, they were professional, courteous, responsive, and honest. They took the time to explain my options and guided me through every step of the repair. It’s rare to find a company who is willing to take a thoughtful, cost-effective approach rather than simply recommending the most expensive solution. Steve and his team delivered exceptional craftsmanship, and the quality of their work is evident every time I walk into the room. I highly recommend them to anyone looking for skilled, trustworthy flooring professionals.

We had a great experience getting a new carpet runner installed on our staircase! Easy to schedule and coordinate the consultation, great communication, affordable pricing and quick installation. The carpet looked as expected per the sample and came out great. The installation team was also very nice and courteous.

My wife and I bought a home and only had a couple of weeks to squeeze some flooring work in before our move. Steve and his crew responded quickly when we asked for help, and they did an incredible job of buffing/staining our hardwood floors. They were able to complete the work within 1 week of contacting them. Not to mention I believe they’re very reasonably priced! Highly recommend!!

Katie and Steve are amazing and I’m so grateful our GC works with them! The communication and coordination was seamless. When I had any questions along the way, Katie was very prompt with responding to messages or texts! The flooring looks absolutely gorgeous!! We have original 1968 red oak hardwood floors. There were areas where our old islands were taken out and flooring had to be matched. It was flawless and the change in color that Katie helped me choose was perfect! I will use FCI in Hillsborough again and again for any of our future flooring and carpeting needs!

Floor Coverings International was easy to work with and the process couldn’t have been more convenient. I had carpet installed on my stairs and the whole project was done in one quick week. Having the samples brought right to your home and making the purchase + all the arrangements without having to go anywhere is just perfection.
