I have been dealing with Floor Covering International in Bergen County for a month, and the level at which they have been lying and jerking me around has been unreal. I bought house in which I needed flooring done in three rooms. I set up a consultation/estimate the day after closing. The person who was supposed to be managing my job, David Cortez, promised that he would be there to supervise the job and that he looks over the job after it's finished to make sure we're satisfied. My husband and I felt confident in the fact they would get the job done effectively. Two days later (Thursday) I get a call from David stating that my materials had been ordered and should be arriving my Monday, so we would be able to start the job Tuesday. Fabulous! I thought. He said he would be in touch Monday to confirm. Monday rolls around and no call. My husband calls after hours (b/c we expected to be receiving a call). Apparently the floors for one of the rooms didn't arrive, so we rescheduled for Wednesday. A little annoying that they didn't touch base, but not too big of a deal. Again, we don't hear anything Tuesday, so we call that evening to confirm they would be there Wednesday. David told us he would be coming Wednesday and would call us in the morning to let me know. At about 11:30am on Wednesday I get a call from Peter (at this point David disappears because he was apparently on vacation). Apparently, they were still waiting on the floors for that 3rd room. Peter also informed us that the flooring would need to be acclimated for at least 48 hours prior to installing, which was news to me as they never mentioned anything about acclimating the floors and I had no idea that was even necessary. So basically, I was completely lied to. Peter stated everything should be in Thursday or Friday and they would deliver everything. Thursday I get a call that the floors were in and they would deliver it later that day. They drop off what I thought was everything they need. We schedule the installation for Monday. Peter arrives Monday with the guys who will install the flooring. Unbeknownst to me, I was informed that the floors for the 3rd room were still not in (I thought they were delivered Thursday with the others??) so they only were installing floors in the two others rooms. The guys finish the two rooms. Peter, who was apparently the "supervisor" of the job, was at my house for probably a total of 20 minutes of the 6 hours these guys were there installing the floors, and not at all to check the job they did. I'm not sure how that constitutes as supervising. The floors look great, but after they leave I realize there's marks all over one of the floor of the rooms. They come back a couple of times to remove them (turns out they were rubber mallet marks). No idea who would just leave after a job like that without cleaning that up. Finally my floors for the third room come in. Stupidly, I decide to let them schedule to install the flooring a couple of weeks later. To cut this story a little bit shorter, they change the date on me once or twice before it gets confirmed they are coming today. Supposed to show up between 8 and 10 and nothing. I call David (who was suddenly in the picture again after the first floors were installed) and it seems like they booked me for tomorrow and they're not coming today. Big surprise. At this point I am done with them and would not be having them install the floors. TLDR: Got lied to about when they were coming to install, when my floors would be in, and what would be installed. There is an extremely lack of communication and coordination between the workers and the office. These guys apparently seem to think that everyone has all the time in the world to sit around and wait to see if they may or may not come to install their floors. I would probably be 50 times more pissed if I wasn't off the summer and had to take off 3-4 days.

2 very professional men arrived to install a rug and 5 steps. Carpet was previously bought but I did not have an installer. They immediately sized up the situation and got to work. Within 1&1/2 hours the job was completed, scraps removed and carpet vacuumed. Great job, love it. The price was right too. I would highly recommend this company.

Came across floor coverings international searching google and decided to give them a call based on their reviews. They did not disappoint. Mark and his team were fantastic throughout the whole process of flooring LVP in our basement. He transparent and up front with the costs of our project right off the bat, and assured us that the job would be done right. We had gotten various quotes from other companies that were A) significantly higher and B) told us there would be issues with the layout of the basement. Marks team are truly flooring experts and seamlessly completed the entire project in just 2 days with zero issues. I asked for several special requests (removal of a railing, flooring to be cut and laid on top of a sump pump cover, etc.), which were all met with “no problem”, “of course”, etc. I would absolutely recommend Mark and floor coverings international to anyone looking to have their floors done. We could not be happier with the finished product.
