When it comes to a flooring contractor, these guys were the best. John in sales was helpful, accommodating, and knowledgeable about the type of floors that exists. We went in thinking of one type and ended up purchasing another, and boy are we glad we did. The installers were incredibly professional, always communicating issues (our sub floors were a mess from the previous owners), and they worked tirelessly to assure they could use the minimum amount of time, impacting our family the least. They cleaned up after themselves and did not damage our home. The final product is perfect and we are very happy! Our project was a full flooring system throughout our entire first floor (one story home). Every bedroom, hallway, closet, etc. We have a large breed dog, and 3 cats. Project took two whole days from 8am to 5pm each day.

He went above and beyond by getting a sample for carpet we had seen at a competitor. Instillation by Milton was professional and well done. He was careful with our newly painted walls and furniture. FCI had a knowledgeable salesperson with tons of samples and helped us pick a great floor for our basement. Scheduling and installation were both fast and painless, and they offered no-interest financing at a great price which was amazing. Installation of the floor was fine, but not great. There are some very obvious low spots in the floor where the boards dip and move when you walk on them. We were told that high spots would be ground down and low spots patched, but I don't think all the low spots (or maybe any) were addressed. I can also see at least one spot where two of the exact same board are laid right next to each other. FCI installed baseboards for us too, but that installation is a bit sloppy. Corners aren't level so caulking the butt joints and miters won't hide them. We didn't choose quarter round,but that wouldn't hide the sloppy corners anyway. Overall I think they did a good job for the price, but I got a steep discount on the original quote. If I had paid the original price, I would be less satisfied.
