We had Floor Coverings International replace all of our floors in our home about four years ago. I insisted on carpeting for the three bedrooms. Over time our cat ruined all three rooms. We called Michael at Floor Coverings International and he came out and gave us an estimate. We asked him if he could match the new flooring with the current flooring. Michael was able to find the identical hardwood we had throughout the rest of the house. His crew was terrific. Between my wife and I, we had a couple of health issues and Michael was very accommodating when we had to push back the installation date twice. The crew was on time and professional throughout the installation. My wife and I were able to sit at the other end of the house without very much distraction. Two days and they were done. Our floors look fantastic. We would recommend Floor Coverings International to anyone that wants first class flooring, to call Michael at Floor Coverings International.

Having the flooring replaced throughout your house is a muti-faceted project. For me, satisfaction is based on the entire experience and not simply the aesthetics of the finished project. Floor Coverings International of Greensboro removed and replaced the old carpeting and old hardwoods in my house with engineered hardwoods. The finished project looks amazing. There is no question about the quality of the product FCI uses. My dissatisfaction comes from other aspects of this project. From the beginning, it was known that this project was being done to insure a healthy environment for my husband who is sick and needs to insure a clean living space for his safety. With this in mind, I’m not sure why the installation crew took it upon themselves to use our garage – which obviously presents itself as part man-cave/social living space – as their work area, ie their cutting area. The weather was conducive to being completely outside to cut product. This resulted in a dust covered garage – which I now have the joy of thoroughly cleaning. Yes, when I asked the project manager to have the crew come back and blow the dust out of the garage, he did. However, that truly doesn’t account for the additional cleaning which now truly needs to be done to be able to use this space socially. Now, let’s address the master bedroom. I am a night-shifter. I work nights and sleep during the day. Due to this, I put darkening film on my windows to help darken the room so I can sleep. Short of the fact that the room is dark by design, I’m not sure why the film was removed from my windows. Not sure why I wasn’t informed of this. Not sure why I get yet another project which I don’t have time for amidst the management of my husband’s health. Master bedroom – let’s continue. Obviously, the furniture gets removed and the put back in place in order for the floors to get replaced. Had the great joy of finding out today that the bed was not put back together correctly. King size bed. Center mattress support was not put back in place correctly and proceeded to give way this morning. Happy day. Yet another project I’ve been gifted from FCI of GSO. Then there’s the door to the master which now – for whatever reason – is not closing correctly. I’m done. I have a lot on my plate managing my husband’s health. Once I get through cleaning up after this project, I will most likely sit back and enjoy the aesthetics of my new flooring. In the meantime, my husband is not happy being sick. He’s even less happy that a fair amount of money was spent only to cause me additional stress. 06/01/2026 - update: Michael, thank you for valuing customer service and satisfaction. I appreciate you taking the time to talk to me regarding my concerns and ensuring that they got addressed.

Howie and his crew did a great job installing my floors before I moved in. They got it done on time with great attention to detail and I received the photos as soon as they were finished. They are beautiful and I’m very happy with how they turned out. 10/10 would recommend!!
