I love these folks! I had had massive basement flooding and had had to have all the pipes replaced, so the entire basement floor, from concrete up to carpeting, had been dug up. I needed new basement flooring. From start to finish, all three of the people I dealt with at FCI were off-the-charts sensational. The owner, Mo, came over to the house the day after I called and spent two hours with me, patiently answering all my questions, going over all the options, showing me samples, and offering his own recommendations. I had asked him about hardwood flooring, but he explained to me that luxury vinyl would be visually indistinguishable, more water-resistant in case I had another bout of basement flooding, and much cheaper. He could have taken advantage of my ignorance and simply installed the more profitable hardwood; instead, he put integrity above profit. Before installing it, it was necessary to level the basement floor so that the vinyl planks wouldn’t shift and crack over time. When I explained that in that case I would need to paint some additional concrete sealing over any parts of the concrete that needed to be ground down, thus requiring them to wait a while for it to dry before installing the vinyl planks, there was no problem. The installer, Francisco, sealed the entire concrete floor himself to be on the safe side, at no extra charge. A master craftsman, he then installed the planks, taking meticulous care to cut each one perfectly to size, all after removing all the moldings, and then restored the moldings perfectly. The floor looks amazing. Since he had a few planks left over, he also covered the ratty linoleum floor on the square landing above the basement steps with some of the left-over vinyl, again perfectly and again at no extra charge. And finally, the office manager, Kat, came over twice – once to make sure everyone was on the same page as to what needed to be done, and once to inspect the installation at the end. The final price was just as they had said and was very reasonable. For competence, punctuality, quality of work, pricing, thoughtfulness, and just general niceness, everyone was absolutely terrific. I found myself wishing I’d had more flood damage so that I could justify having them do another room. Five stars aren’t enough, but that’s all I can do. Truly wonderful experience.

Called to have them come out and look at redoing my kitchen floor. Kat called me back very promptly, it was very easy and convenient to set something up. When they arrived for the consultation I met Mo, he was very knowledgeable about everything. He even helped with seeing the vision I had for the kitchen remodel and had many good recommendations that fit the style I was looking for. I'll never use another flooring company again.
