We recently had Floor Coverings International Silver Spring replace our old basement vinyl tiles with LVP and also install new carpet on the stairs. Overall, it was a really positive experience. Sonya & her team was professional, and communication was prompt. Sonya took time to help us understand all the possible flooring solutions for our rental property. They gave us a variety of flooring options to help us make an informative decision. They brought LVP flooring samples & carpet swatches to the consultation and helped us decide on color, quality and the type of flooring that would best suit our budget & home decor. We'll definitely be using them again and recommending them to others.

Sonya, Kaela and their carpet installation team were fantastic! Kaela made scheduling and coordination seamless, and Sonya was so helpful during our initial meeting to explore new carpet options. I had an excellent experience with International Floor Coverings working with Sonya and her team. I could tell right away they were different from other flooring companies because Sonya came prepared not only to measure the space, but also with flooring samples already selected for my project. I was replacing a broken tile kitchen floor with luxury laminate/vinyl flooring and wanted it to match the entryway as closely as possible so the visual flow through the house would continue naturally. She immediately understood what I was trying to accomplish and brought the right size LVT planks to consider. When we didn’t find the exact match the first time, she ordered additional options and came back again until we found the right one. That level of patience and customer care really impressed me. The installation itself was quick, professional, and painless. The crew moved my refrigerator and gas stove and put everything back without extra charges which I appreciated. Pricing was also very comparable to other flooring contractors I contacted. I looked at several other flooring stores during the process, but I could not find the same quality or sizing options that International Floor Coverings offered. The finished floor looks beautiful and the entire process was timely, smooth, and stress-free. I would highly recommend Sonya and her team, and if I ever need another floor done, they’ll be the first people I call.

I had a great experience working with Sonya and Kaela. Sonya was very patient with us and made multiple visits to ensure we were comfortable with our choices. I have never replaced carpet before and there were many options. Sonya helped me determine the right color scheme and texture for our space. They were flexible with our install schedule. Sonya and the install team - José and José - arrived on time ready to go. They were friendly and professional. The team took great care with moving our furniture without damage. It’s obvious they take pride in their work. A few notes to future buyers: *Pay by check or direct ACH to avoid credit card fees. *The more you pack away and move out of the room yourself, the faster the job can be completed. We were quoted a full day, but because we did the most prep possible it only took about 4 hours. *Ask all your questions. Sonya is patient and wants you to have a great experience.

Sonya Sbar and her team did an amazing job with two projects for us: (1) refinishing the hardwood floors in our dining room and living room, and (2) installing new carpet on our stairs and upstairs hallway. She coordinated with our schedules to minimize disruption and got both jobs done quickly, professionally, and beautifully. All the consultations -- including picking the color of the stain and the type and color of carpet -- happened right in my house, so it was also very convenient. She ensured that everything was sequenced and coordinated across both projects. Floor refinishing: We had never refinished the floors in the 25 years we've lived in our house, and there was some serious water damage (from overwatering plants) in a few places. Fox, the lead for the project, and his team, were very professional and skilled. They worked with me to make sure the color was what we wanted (matching the original color from the undamaged areas), sanded everything down thoroughly to remove the damage and make everything even, and then applied the new stain and finish over several days so everything could dry beautifully and last. They also moved our furniture out of those rooms and back in again, and gave me detailed instructions on floor care to keep everything in good shape going forward. Carpet: The carpet going up our stairs and in our upstairs hallway was old, worn, and stained. Sonya helped us to select the type of carpet we wanted (much softer and more durable than what we had), and Oscar and his assistant did an excellent job with the carpet installation. They especially did great work in fitting the carpet between the many spindles along our stairway without showing any seams. Photos show floor refinishing before (water damaged area), during (with sanding) and after (some sun highlights, but after stain and finish), and for carpet, old worn carpet before, and new carpet after, including excellent work to avoid showing seams between staircase spindles.
