Floor Coverings International did an outstanding job replacing the carpet in our bedroom with hardwood floors. The transformation has been incredible—it completely warmed up the space and exceeded our expectations. Our sales representative, Sonya, was knowledgeable, thorough, and stayed involved throughout the entire process, checking in regularly during the installation. Mr. Fox and his assistant were highly skilled, completed the installation on schedule, and their craftsmanship was excellent. The entire team communicated consistently, arrived on time, and even completed the project within just two weeks of our initial consultation, just in time for a family event. FCI recently installed laminate wood flooring in my downstairs family room, replacing very old and dismal carpeting. I can’t say enough about the Sanya Sbar, the owner, and her staff. Within a couple of days of my email inquiry, Sanya came to my house to look at the room and discuss flooring options. She was meticulous in showing me samples of the options and discussing their pros and cons. I agreed with her recommendations and was pleasantly surprised by the cost she quoted a couple days later. The work soon started and the new flooring was completed in two days. A few days later, the carpet on the stairs from the first floor was replaced with treads that match the flooring. The transformation of the room was amazing, as can be seen in the before and after pictures. The new floor dramatically increased the brightness and appeal of the room. The installation crew was outstanding and their work of very high quality. They dealt efficiently with unexpected problems (such as having to remove unexpected old vinyl tile glued to some areas of the concrete subfloor). And they went above and beyond merely installing the flooring. First, the flooring was also installed in an alcove containing the washing machine and dryer. When the crew moved the washing machine, they found that the water feed lines were continuously leaking (and probably had been for years). Walter, the crew chief, was skilled in plumbing and replaced the leaking connections. Second, the washer/dryer alcove once had bi-fold doors which I had removed several years ago due to age. Sanya suggested that if I bought new bifold doors, her crew would install them. I jumped at the idea and their presence adds to the improved appearance of the room. Third, Derek, the man who did the stairs, found when he began removing the carpeting that corners had been cut in building the stairs. As a result, he installed additional bracing and tread supports and now the stairs now have a much more solid feel to them and no longer squeak loudly when anyone uses them. Fourth, I had purchased an upright piano that was to be delivered later that same week. The piano had to be taken down the stairs to the family room and the moving crew said the handrail had to be removed in order to do so. So Walter, he of the flooring and plumbing skills, also removed the handrail and the piano was successfully moved down the stairs. I think Walter would probably also have done a load of laundry for me if I had asked him to. Within the coming year I intend to install the same flooring on the ground level of my townhouse and the stairs up to the second floor, tile flooring in the kitchen, and new carpeting throughout the upstairs. I have already had discussions with Sanya on this and am looking forward to working with her and her people again.

We recently had Floor Coverings International Silver Spring replace our old basement vinyl tiles with LVP and also install new carpet on the stairs. Overall, it was a really positive experience. Sonya & her team was professional, and communication was prompt. Sonya took time to help us understand all the possible flooring solutions for our rental property. They gave us a variety of flooring options to help us make an informative decision. They brought LVP flooring samples & carpet swatches to the consultation and helped us decide on color, quality and the type of flooring that would best suit our budget & home decor. We'll definitely be using them again and recommending them to others.

Sonya, Kaela and their carpet installation team were fantastic! Kaela made scheduling and coordination seamless, and Sonya was so helpful during our initial meeting to explore new carpet options.
