We used Floor Coverings international for some carpet replacement and hardwood floor refinishing needs. We also had a new red oak floor installed in one room. The floor refinishing involved Brazilian Cherry floors in several rooms and a hallway that were original to the house 20 years ago when we built it. The result is really nice, and throughout the process there were multiple “snafoos” experienced, but Charles St Clair, the owner, stayed attentive to our concerns and did absolutely all he could to make things right. Although the project took longer than anticipated, the problem was really with one of the subs that were initially selected for us to refinish the Brazilian cherry floors. The 1st company was really horrible, and the floors had to be redone several times - and eventually by a different company that Charles enlisted. We know that FCI incurred additional expense to make things right for us and we are deeply grateful that Charles cared enough to do that to see that we ended up very pleased with the outcome. Brazilian Cherry is an unforgiving wood, and we couldn’t be happier with the results! Thank you Charles!

During the dry winter months I utilized a humidifier in our living room. Unfortunately, I did not realize that it was leaking onto our hardwood floors until my husband noticed the buckling that extended into our hallway. Fortunately, I reached out to Charles at Floor Coverings International, who immediately scheduled me for a time that served me best. Once in our home, it was obvious that Charles was extremely knowledgeable about the properties and life course of hardwood floors. He put our minds at ease and encouraged us to give it time, as often buckling from water damage will self correct and lay down again and straighten on its own. No need to rip out the boards we thought were permanently damaged and try to replace. His professionalism and integrity, have made us customers for life and we plan to go to him for all our future flooring needs for our 116 yr old home! Just had hardwood floors installed in my family room. They did a great job matching existing hardwood floors. Communication was great throughout the process, installation was smooth and I’m very pleased with the quality of work. they cleaned up throughly and I had an overall excellent experience.
