Co-owner Steve Mobile
Steve Mobile, co-owner of Floor Coverings International serving Lake County, Illinois, brings over 30 years of expertise in sales and business development to the family-owned business. A lifelong resident of Lake County, Steve and his wife are dedicated to providing exceptional flooring solutions to their community. Beyond his professional achievements, Steve has a deep passion for volleyball, having played competitively for many years. He now enjoys watching one of his sons play at the collegiate level. As a proud father of five sons, Steve cherishes spending quality time with his family, finding joy and pride in their accomplishments. Janet Gedville, co-owner, brings a wealth of experience and a strong business acumen to our team. Originally from LeRoy, Illinois, Janet pursued her academic journey at Illinois State University, earning a Master of Science in Accounting. With a background spanning 31 years in banking and benefits administration, Janet has honed her expertise in business project management, organizational efficiency, process improvement, and team dynamics.
Janet finds joy in various hobbies such as traveling, gardening, and indulging in a good book. She values quality time spent with loved ones, cherishing moments with friends and family alike. Project Coordinator Jay Martin
Jay Martin, project coordinator, grew up in Hoffman Estates, Illinois. He values loyalty and family, maintaining friendships since high school. Jay began his career in flooring by helping his dad’s small installation company, spending 13 years installing laminate, hardwood, and carpet flooring in residential spaces. Transitioning to commercial flooring, Jay started as an apprentice at Noland Sales in Chicagoland, completed an apprenticeship with the Chicago Regional Council of Carpenters, and advanced to foreman, eventually managing Noland Sales’ largest account at Allstate World Headquarters. After a hip replacement ended his installation career, Jay became a top-performing flooring sales specialist at Lowe’s and later joined GS Floor Design as a hard surface installation project coordinator.
Marketing Director Amie Levad
Amie Levad, the Marketing Director, grew up in Sycamore, Illinois. She has a bachelor’s degree in Communications from Western Illinois University and a master’s in Educational Technology from the American College of Education. Amie transitioned from a nine-year career as an elementary school teacher to the flooring industry, where she merges her marketing expertise with a keen eye for detail and customer engagement. Outside of work, Amie enjoys playing guitar, traveling, and working with animals. She has also led campaigns for organizations like Toys for Tots and the World Wildlife Fund, reflecting her commitment to community and environmental stewardship.
Design Associate Nathaniel Bliss
Nathaniel Bliss, a Design Associate, recently relocated to Illinois from St. Paul, Minnesota, with his wife. He holds a degree in Business Administration with a minor in Marketing/Sales. Nathaniel’s passions include basketball, outdoor activities, and woodworking. His blend of professional expertise and personal interests makes him a dynamic member of the team, dedicated to delivering exceptional design solutions.

Christopher Mobile, also a Design Associate, grew up in Zion, Illinois. With a background in home healthcare, Christopher is passionate about building relationships and helping people. He enjoys training his German Shepherd, Lucy, in basic obedience, reading, practicing Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu and boxing, and spending time with his family.
Office Manager Megan Bliss
Megan Bliss, the Office Manager, is originally from Southern Oregon and moved to Illinois with her husband. She has 7.5 years of customer service experience. Megan is devoted to her niece and nephews and has a passion for softball, which she has played for over 20 years. Her dedication to both her family and interests reflects her vibrant and caring nature.

These warranties typically extend for up to 10 years, ensuring long-lasting protection and customer satisfaction
