Joey Sherman is the local owner and operator of Floor Coverings International, serving Chicagoland. Alongside his wife and business partner, Kim, they have built a business around service, trust, and delivering the best flooring experience.
Joey brings a background in leadership, customer experience, and project management from roles at Disney, Tribune, CBS, and the Mayor’s Office of Special Events for the City of Chicago. He has led teams, managed complex projects, and built systems focused on consistency, accountability, and strong customer outcomes, experiences that now shape a seamless flooring process from consultation through installation. Joey’s path to business ownership was both personal and practical. After corporate downsizing, he modeled his parents' entrepreneurship and chose business ownership to build a better future for his family and create a more personal customer experience.

Kim Sherman is the co-owner of Floor Coverings International of Deerfield and serves as the day-to-day operations lead for the business. She works closely with customers, installers, and suppliers to make sure each project stays organized, communicated, and on track from start to finish.
Before joining Floor Coverings International, Kim worked as a teacher’s aide for children with severe and profound special needs. That background shaped her patience, compassion, and ability to connect with people in meaningful ways. Homeowners often appreciate how easy she is to talk to and how supported they feel throughout the process.
As the central force behind both the business and her family, Kim brings a calm, steady presence to every interaction. She and her husband, Joey, live in Northbrook with their daughter, son, and 2 dogs. Kim is proud to help build a family-run business rooted in care, trust, and genuine service.
