Matt and Karina, our dedicated owners, reside in Oconomowoc. Growing up in Mukwonago, Matt’s journey is a testament to hard work and passion for home improvement. He began his career in the home improvement industry in 2001 with College Pro. In 2010, Matt and Karina brought Floor Coverings International to Wisconsin. For over two decades, Matt has relished the opportunity to transform customers’ living spaces. He understands the impact flooring has on the foundational look and feel of homes, offering warmth, practicality, and design elements. Outside of work, Matt and Karina find peace in the simplicity and beauty of life on their hobby farm with their four children. From tending to sheep and chickens, having bonfires with friends, and indulging in everything family, Matt and Karina find joy in all aspects of rural living.
Melissa, our sales manager, brings extensive interior design and sales experience to Floor Coverings International. She holds a degree in Interior Design and an MBA from Mount Mary University. Throughout her career, Melissa has held various roles in the building industry — from closet designer to sales manager for a big box retailer and commercial interior designer. This diverse background equips her to lead our design team with high standards, ensuring every project is complete when customers are truly satisfied. Outside of work, Melissa enjoys spending time with her husband and teenage son. Her family loves traveling and is passionate about baseball. They’re currently planning summer trips to continue their quest to visit every major league stadium.
Abby, a detail-oriented Production Manager from South Milwaukee, WI, brings a diverse background to her role. With a foundation in psychology and human services, Abby excels in organization, customer service, and efficiency. She joined Floor Coverings International in June 2021, where her skills in problem-solving, customer satisfaction, and spreadsheet management ensure smooth workflows. Outside of work, Abby enjoys quilting, reading, and spending time with her children. Abby's dedication to both her professional and personal life highlights her well-rounded nature and commitment to excellence in all she does.
Dann, a handyman, professional painter, licensed home inspector, and passionate flooring professional who has assisted countless families with their home care needs for the past fifteen years. Prior to Floor Coverings International, Dann ran his own home inspection firm, providing families with peace of mind as they worked through the home buying process. Additionally, Dann has run a handyman business for the last eleven years, covering simple “honey do” punch lists, whole home interior painting projects, and everything in between. A resident of Waukesha, Dann holds degrees in Business Management, Business Administration, and Communications, and is an avid reader, passionate bicyclist, and passable golfer. Dann is a huge people person and would love to assist you in working through your next flooring project.
