FCI's front office provided clear, effective, and fast communication from the moment I scheduled the first consultation to and through installation. And they sent an impressively efficient and friendly crew to perform the work. What more can you ask for? They did precisely what they said they'd do, and they did it in a day (and on the day we scheduled). I wish all trades were this easy to work with. A few days after installation, my wife and I are actually looking around the house to see if there are any other projects for FCI to tackle.

We had natural red oak hardwood flooring installed in one of our bedrooms. The final product looks really nice and well done. Dan explained all of the options, cost, and timing to get the job done. Everything was done very quickly, and the installer was very careful to put paper down in the hallways and walkways. He was also very good about cleaning up. The project manager came out in the process and make sure everything was going smooth smoothly. The room looks great with the new hardwood flooring.

Awesome products and service. Had an unexpected surprise (which can happen when you remove 20 year old carpeting) which resulted in some unexpected remediation. But they flexed to what needed to be done at minimal expense and got us taken care of. We are very happy with the installation and are planning on having Alan and his crew finish the rest of our home in the very near future.

To preface, the finished floors look fantastic, and the subcontractors that showed up were friendly and clearly experienced. Unfortunately, the process was very frustrating for me due to unmet expectations. I received a bid from three flooring companies for the same space, and while FCI was not the cheapest I was impressed with the vision Carter had for my stairs. At no time when Carter met with me did he imply there would be any additional costs that I should be concerned about; I disclosed that I was comparing their bid to competitors apples to apples. Once the deposit was made and AFTER demo was complete on my flooring, I was told that the project would require an additional 25% of the project total more to cover leveling of floors. I had not budgeted for an extra $4k expense, and when comparing the bids from the other companies they had included an allowance for floor leveling. When I reached out to the PM about my concerns, he explained to me that "this is very normal in the flooring world". Sure, because I live in the flooring world and I should have known to expect such a wild discrepancy in cost. I know it is hard for a business to appease a customer that feels like they are overpaying. Truth be told I would have paid more for these floors because they just look awesome. But if you are a business that cares about your reputation - and FCI clearly does (which I applaud) - then make it right by setting clear financial and process driven expectations out the gate.

IM IMPRRSSED! Most likely any company you call with install your floor. What happens when you call them about one little correction? Most of them will blow you off. Not FCI they were at my house 2 hours later! I had already signed off. They could easily have said no. Not FCI. April happily said we will be right over. I need a +++ to put on these 5 stars.

They came to my house twice to make sure I was getting the carpet I wanted. Luke was very helpful and didn’t make me feel pressured. They have better prices than the national company I got quotes from. The installer is a real pro. I got patterned carpet and he lined it up perfectly. He had to work around a fireplace, tile entry and several doors, and his work is seamless. A super nice guy too. I highly recommend Floor Coverings International.

I am beyond thrilled and pleasantly surprised about how a carpet runner installation could turn out. Thoroughly impressed. I'm very familiar with the construction industry, but this experience blew me away. I didn't know there was a place where I could have the convenience of one-stop shopping for home improvements without sacrificing quality and time. Normally, you're acting as your own general contractor, pricing out materials, then searching for the right installers, or sometimes hiring a separate general contractor when it becomes too overwhelming and time-consuming. This place does it all. I wanted to start small before diving into my extensive list of home renovation projects. Floor Coverings International came highly recommended, particularly the Westfield location. Matt arrived with carpet samples, photos of completed projects, and had the patience to answer all of my hundreds of questions. I truly felt at ease. My favorite answer from him was, "We handle all of that." Wow. It truly put my mind at ease to know that I didn't have to stress over scheduling more appointments to get quotes from installers after purchasing the materials. I also didn't realize that they offer so much more than carpeting and hardwood flooring. Scheduling was just as simple, and I didn't have to wait several weeks to begin this small project. Installation day arrives, and Ivan and his assistant go straight to work, measuring, binding, installing..... Katie is there to oversee that the project is carried out successfully and to meet my high expectations. She asked me about my specific preferences, which were details that I never would have thought of until long after this project was completed. While the stairs were getting worked on, I figured I'd ask Katie for a quote for additional services in the near future, since it was going well so far: Hardwood flooring. She inspected the shoddy work done to the home in great detail and explained everything to me along the way. We went down into the basement to see the underlay of the existing floors. Back upstairs, she lifted some floorboards to examine the original flooring that was covered up and measured the leveling of the original floors to provide an accurate calculation for the quote. She explained their timeline and process, moving furniture, etc. And again, I'm pleasantly surprised that this company can do ALL of this for me. The job was completed so efficiently, and Ivan and his associate cleaned everything up meticulously. I didn't waste an entire workday. Instead, I spent hours admiring the quality of materials and work that added value to my home. As I wait for the quote on the hardwood flooring, I now want to purchase a custom-sized area rug from them for the master bedroom. I'm excited to see how my house will transform once all of the renovations are completed. To me, it's about value: excellent quality for a reasonable price. Their efficiency is a bonus. It's no wonder they came highly recommended!
