Very disappointed with both the carpet and this distributor. We had purchased Shaw Pet Protect in 2022 (at least that is what we requested, but nobody would confirm that this is what is installed). The carpet was advertised as easy to clean and durable, but it stains easily and it is nearly impossible to remove stains. We have tried a Bissel hand-held spot cleaner multiple times, rented a Bissel carpet cleaner from a hardware store, used Shaw's recommended cleaner called R2X, and even hired a professional carpet cleaning company who we paid extra to treat the stained areas. Dealing with the owner, Mike, was extremely frustrating. He is hard to reach, often ignores calls and emails. After getting the runaround for a long time, I contacted the Shaw warranty department myself to see what is going on with the claim - only to find out that he never actually filed the claim. When it was finally addressed, the warranty was denied. This took an entire year. We requested further assistance on this matter because we are still left with the stains on the carpet, but we are ignored or forgotten again. Installers also damaged our wood baseboards in multiple places during removal of the old carpet. I do not recommend this product or this company.

In December 2022, we paid Mike Dimeglio to install a carpet. He made various claims about the high quality of the carpet that were immediately unfounded once installed. Besides the fact the carpet had been delivered or installed with stains, it was found to be easy to stain and the spray product that he had left with us to clean any stains did not work. He did not return our calls. The carpet was inferior to what he promised and then, to add to the insult, it was improperly installed, with seams showing and unravelling in the worst locations. See photo. We have continuously reached out to him both by phone and email. No response. Floor coverings international took our money and failed to deliver both service in installation and ANY follow up, and clearly selling an inferior product.

Have used Mike for years now. He refinished all of the hardwoods in our house including the stairs and they are perfect! After getting a few estimates Mike was the only one to know how to work with one area that everyone else just wanted to paint…and I’m so glad I listened to him!! It’s stunning. He also did the marble in our master bath reno…also beautiful. Highly recommend. Communication is perfect. Accessibility for questions and if there is a concern is perfect. The work is truly quality. And he will bend over backwards to make sure you are happy. We will be using him for our upcoming projects.

We found Floor Coverings International at a Raleigh Home Show visit and met Mike, the owner, from that visit. From the first time he came to the house to review what we needed, he was easy to work with, interested in what we wanted to have done and that continued throughout the project. We had a master bath remodeled: old linoleum floor was replaced with LVT flooring, shower replaced with tile, wallpaper removed and walls, cabinets painted, plumbing and lights replaced. The crews he has that did the shower and flooring were extremely skilled, very hard working and professional. He then had someone he uses outside his company that did the wallpaper removal, painting, lights and plumbing install, so it was great having someone who could do all the parts of the remodel we needed! The project pricing was reasonable and appreciate having the lifetime warranty on the installation. We are very pleased with the results and had a good experience overall. Would recommend Mike and his team for any flooring or tile projects!

I have worked with Mike DiMeglio on projects involving LVP, hardwood flooring installation, hardwood refinishing, and carpet installation. Mike's company is very professional and takes great pride in their work. I have never been disappointed with any of their installations. The warranty on their work is excellent and Mike is committed to customer satisfaction, I would not hesitate to recommend Floor Coverings International for any flooring projects.

I am very impressed with the quality of the carpet and the skill of the installers. When I met Mike DiMeglio at a home show, he listened to my concerns about pet stains, and explained that Shaw makes Devereaux II Anso Nylon carpet with a lifetime warranty against all pet stains. It looks and feels great, and really improved the appearance of my home. No more unsightly messes!
