I was keen on working with a local-run business to replace our stone tiling with luxury vinyl flooring. I was absolutely clear with FCI that any change orders or deviation from the original quote had to be as limited as possible (less than 5-10%) and only for unforeseen circumstances. So I was not happy when, after demolition, we were asked for an $800 change order (~20% of the original price). A major part was undercutting the fireplace, which had already been discussed and wasn't unforeseen. On my end, I should have ensured it was an explicit line item rather than relying on verbal confirmation. That said, the installers -- Uriel, Danny and Julio -- did a fabulous job despite not being told in advance by the owner that it was a stone tile demolition. It was a tough job. We love our new floors and are happy with the installation, but better communication and transparency would have made this an even better deal!

I decided not to move forward with this company after the consultation and quoting process. I was told they work with MSI, but the hardwood in my original quote was from a different supplier. I then went to MSI myself and selected a hardwood with a lower price per square foot, only to receive a higher total quote. When I asked why, I repeatedly did not receive a clear explanation from the person, only that they were different suppliers and that "sometimes it is just how things are priced." I was offered a phone call to "explore" further, but was not given a clear written breakdown of the difference. The proposals themselves also lacked transparency, with no price shown for any line item but essentially one lump sum at the bottom, making it difficult to understand the actual costs or what caused the price change. For a project of this size, transparency in professional work is important to me, and that was lacking here. I'm glad I decided not to go with this company.

I recently wrote a review and gave it 4 stars only because the sales rep had not followed up with me after the project was completed. Well as it turns out my sales rep, Luke Beaver, called me the very next day and had not seen my review yet, to see how I liked the carpet installation, which by the way, was fantastic. So I am re-reviewing and giving 5 stars to this company and Luke Beaver for their outstanding work performance and ethical behavior. You can't go wrong with this company.

This guy is a lying salesman. Never installed a floor in his life. He don't guarantee his work. He just charges people 10k for stairs and tells the customer that he would only give them 1k back for a hack job.

The owner Arthur showed up on time and gave me a fair estimate of refurbishing my wooden floors. He promised they would look close to being new again since staining wood is almost impossible to match by yourself. My wooden floors looked damn good after spending two long days of hand sanding, staining, and sealing from his professional Wood Finisher, who is one of the best in Central Florida. I would definitely hire them again for any wood flooring repairs.

From start to finish Bryan and his crew were a class act. It takes time to make this kind of decision, and Bryan was really laid back about it, answering all my questions and explaining everything. He worked at getting me what I wanted at a price I could afford. He stopped by every day to check on progress. His crew was respectful, on time every day, didn’t waste any time, cleaned up at the end of every day. If you need flooring, I highly recommend at least giving Floor Coverings Inter’l a shot at earning your business.

FCI installed wood flooring in our house back in July, replacing our old, dirty carpet. It’s been about two months now, and we are really happy with the results. My wife and I are both designers, so we have to admit that we are pretty picky about the quality of the work and the materials. But honestly, FCI exceeded our expectations. Joseph was great to work with. He was very patient and never pushy, which we really appreciated (we spent a long time to decide which type of wood to be used). Whenever we had a question or needed something, he was always very quick to respond. Simon was our project manager and came by to check on the progress and quality of the work. He was on vacation for a few days, and Johnnie, the owner, came by during that time. Johnnie knew what was going on with the project and was able to answer our questions and take care of any issues that came up. The installation crew was also very professional and paid a lot of attention to the details. My parents were living with us at the time, so we had a pretty full house while the work was being done. They were able to work around our situation, and we didn’t have to move to a hotel. (we didn’t mind putting up with some dust and sleeping in a dusty room for a couple of nights!) We were definitely picky customers, but the whole experience with FCI was actually very easy and enjoyable. We are very happy with how the floors turned out. Thanks to Joseph, Simon, Johnnie, and the installation team. We highly recommend FCI!

This team is absolutely incredible. I got a quote from a larger company for my house, and they quoted me nearly double what Floor Coverings International did. When Austin came out for the quote, he created a completely low-pressure environment and gave me everything I needed to make an informed decision. The entire process was fast, easy, and the quality was incredible. They are truly an amazing family-owned company. Honestly, I find it very difficult to find home improvement companies that genuinely care about their customers rather than just the money, but this company is the most genuine I’ve ever worked with. I couldn’t recommend them enough!
