Floor Coverings International in Ft Mill/Tega Cay, SC, transformed our guest bathroom floor with a darling, cheery blue and white tile. When we moved in a few months ago, original laminate flooring was the base. It just didn’t go with the other upgrades in our home. Heather, Brian, and Scott skillfully walked us through the design and installation process. The result is a beautiful, new floor for our guests. Love it!

Hired to fix a crooked transition from LVT to carpet, where carpet installer left undone. I specifically said I needed an installer capable of both LVT and carpet, he sent someone who could only work on carpet. The installer came up with an excuse that the doorway framing was the issue, and claimed the current transition was parallel to doorway so he tucked carpet under transition. Satisfaction was guaranteed, I was not happy yet charged the full $250 for less than 10 min of work that did not fix the problem I hired him to fix. Typical lazy installer….never hire again.

We would like to thank and commend Floor Coverings International for an outstanding job in all respects. They removed old carpet from a large bedroom, hall, and two walk-in closets and replaced it with new vinyl, wood plank flooring. The selection of materials, along with detailed information, and trim options was quite extensive and well presented by owner, Steve Tadd. The actual installation was done as promised by a crew that was both expert and meticulous. We appreciated the company follow-up with warranty information and care suggestions. The floor has received many positive comments from friends and visitors. Yes, we will gladly use this locally owned flooring company for ant future flooring projects.

I had an excellent experience working with Brian P. and his team. Brian was transparent throughout the sales process, never pushy, and provided clear guidance on flooring options and pricing. The cost was reasonable, and his project manager, Charles G., was equally professional. The installation team arrived on time, completed the work within a couple of days, and kept me informed at every stage. They also coordinated smoothly with Building Management to ensure all paperwork was handled properly. Overall, outstanding service from start to finish.

Very satisfying experience we had with Floor Coverings International of Northwest Arkansas. We live in Eureka Springs, with is an hour away from their store. Others carpet stores wouldn't come that far. We also live in a historic home, on the historic loop, and our carpet needs were much different than the usual customer. I explained this to Rob, Blinn, the owner, and he worked with me to find a carpet that I was thrilled with. We were looking for something that had a vintage look about it, like it may have been in a Victorian hotel in the early 1900s. This was very hard to find, but he worked with us. We couldn't be happier. His carpet layers were professional, paid attention to details, and worked very hard. Our home was built in 1904, and there were imperfections in the subfloor from settling/additions in the past. His crew were able to camouflage these imperfections well. Carpet One, came and saw the same imperfections, and said we would have to hire a carpenter to fix that before they would work on it. This would have been another expense, and more time waiting, which we didn't want. The carpet layers were able to handle the situation well. The imperfection area is in the photos, and it is almost impossible to tell where it is! I highly recommend this company to install flooring for you. Rob came out in the morning when the carpet layers arrived, and he was in contact with us during the installation to see if we were satisfied. He also contacted us at the end of the job to make sure we were satisfied. Though we had no problems, I had the feeling that IF we did, he would have dealt with them right away. The prices were fair. We feel very satisfied, and feel that hiring this team, was the best decision for getting quality carpeting in our historic home. Starting at the foyer, they installed carpeting up the first floor stairs, the second floor landings and hallway, and all the way up to the third floor, and the third floor landing.

The good: The installation crew was excellent. They were skilled, polite, professional, and consistently on time. When a serious mistake happened during the job (more on that below), the team that handled the repair did right by us and fixed it properly. I appreciate that. The problem: Management. Throughout this project, different leaders gave us drastically different timelines and expectations. Nobody seemed to be working from the same information, so we were constantly getting conflicting answers about deliverables and completion dates. Materials were also misordered at one point, which added unnecessary delays. More seriously, a plumbing-related mistake during the job caused significant damage that required a major repair in my home. I understand the installers aren’t plumbers, but they do handle sinks and toilet removal as part of flooring jobs, so I’d expect a baseline level of care and competence there. The repair was ultimately completed and I do appreciate that they made it right, but the amount of back-and-forth and excuses along the way was frustrating and shouldn’t have been necessary. Bottom line: The installation team deserves real credit for their skill and professionalism. But the company’s management and coordination need serious improvement — consistent communication, accurate ordering, and realistic timelines shouldn’t be this hard to deliver. Because of these organizational issues, I can only give this experience 3 stars.
